You’re like a best friend who cracks the whip. She does this because she truly believes you have something special to offer and she doesn’t want you to waste anymore time. Thank you.
Hi Matt, just subscribed to your content from a note and really enjoy learning new things. Quick question on this article:
"First, write daily content on a platform and build your list." - Are you referring to a long blog post style post published as post only or also sent as email?
"Second, send at least 2 plain-text emails per week to that list." - I understand this is just a short email, but what do you usually write in it?
If I understand correctly, if I am sending 5 "long read" daily emails already, you recommend sending additional 2 short plain text emails weekly to warm the audience up to various product offers down the road. So if audience is engaged enough, you are not concerned with overwhelming it? I currently send 5-6 emails per week and working on my products' offers, so definitely looking for the right, smooth, non-irritating way to introduce my products. Thank you!
First, write daily content on a platform and build your list." → could be long or short foem

Sorry, if it came out unclear :) In 2 additional short emails -> Do you use them to warm the audience up to various product offers down the road? My concern is if I send 5 daily "long forms", would I not overwhelm my readers with 2 more short ones? I am interested to hear experience from writers who've being doing this already. I am getting ready to introduce my products to my readers and I was initially thinking of adding "offer" blocks to my long form daily email, but open to other ways, if they work. Thank you!
It’s wild how the systems we build for efficiency can quietly shape who we become. Mara’s perspective makes me rethink every “productivity hack” I’ve ever tried.
Thank you so much for this: "They have no clue that you could create a new Google Doc by merely typing "docs.new" in their browser." I hate the overlap that is in a doc when I first open it. This is much faster.
I need to learn about a password manager and set up correctly.

haha will do :)
This is some good stuff. I’m trying to apply it to my author business. I think I’ve got a good start so far. I’m excited to see what next year brings.
