Yes, you are right about being more focused . I get stressed reading some influencers' posts on writing on multiple place, doing around 20 business, etc etc and when I read such stuff, I feel drained out of the pressure behind the posts.
I like this and it's a good reminder. I think it's important to experiment and find out what works for you, but it doesn't take too much experimentation (and a bit of self-honesty) to figure out what that is for you. I'm here and on Medium. I've toyed with adding a podcast...but when I start thinking about all that, I take a step back and say...can I really keep up with all that AND do the stuff that earns my income? Nope. I'm a solopreneur (indie-business on days I'm feeling cool) and I can earn a good living with a focused approach as the main course and experimentation as the side.
+1 for reserving time to "business development" aka creating products and finding new ways to monetize.
