I'm learning how to get social on Substack. Your post was super helpful - thank you. I'm also a die-hard introvert, phone-a-phobe, the whole bit—but writing online and with a community has revitalized me. Hello fellow WoPers I see in the comments here too. That experience did more than improve my writing, it challenged all of my assumptions about digital socializing. Real substance exists here with genuine humans who I am excited to learn from and give back in return.
At first, I also struggled to put my thoughts into words. But the important thing was that I kept trying, even when things weren’t clear. The truth is, we often get stuck on the idea of creating the ‘perfect post,’ when what really matters is showing up and being authentic. I truly believe many writers hold back their ideas, trying to find the perfect formula, instead of just starting to share what they think—just like I once did, and still do at times.
Just started getting offers to guest post here - I'm excited but also terrified because I know it needs to be great! But, I'm also getting very used to embarrassing myself for the sake of my dream of writing full-time. Thanks for this post!
Excellent insights. I working on all these areas, because they all need attention.
I'm glad you included audio, I love the article voiceover feature. I am a bit confused though. It sounds like a podcast of two people doing a great job of commenting on this very article, but they never mention who they are, and you don't mention them in the article. I was expecting your voice, so surprise! Who are they?
I still remember your guest post on Write With AI with Cole and Dickie, that was a great one!
Thanks Matt!
(Sorry for the late reply, I somehow didn't get notified!)
Not a problem at all! :)

Tip number 7 - love the perspective

Let's do it, Robin
Just what Paul Metcalfe shared today about Notes. Haven't paid attention myself!
