Freshlearn is a platform that allows you to teach courses and have a newsletter, and you can use it with Paypal. I haven't tried it yet, but I am thinking of using it.
I tried to sign up for your course, but a message came up on my screen after I entered my email that suspicious activity was detected. So unfortunately I canβt complete the process. Iβd attach a screenshot but canβt do so here in my response.
The problem with simplicity is that you need to know things inside and out to allow yourself to be simple. That is the reason for the success.
I worked as journalist for 12 years, writing mostly about health issues. When I talked with a doctor and they use simple, easy to understand language, I always knew - that person is an expert.
People usually need to see immediate growth to stay dedicated to something. You see this all the time with writing, investing, personal fitness, anything really. Plant seeds that eventually sprout while youβre sleeping one day.
Iβve been trying to βmake myselfβ do Medium but I think itβs just not in me. I solely use LinkedIn to grow my Substack and it works quite well π and collaborations and Notes.
Matt, do you post the same article (course) on your WordPress blog as you do on your long form Substack? Or, do you make them different. I've struggled to decide. Thank you.
Strip isn't set up for my country/region what other alternatives do I use and how pls.
Thanks for sharing ππ½
You can probably use Paypal or Payoneer.

Thanks π
Simplicity is key in so many endeavors.
Great article, Matt.
Thx Keagen :)

Youβre totally right.
When youβre a newbie, you donβt know what level of simplicity works.
Thatβs why you want to follow / invest in people you trust in (and know that they know).
Interesting. I've been writing on Medium and Substack but need to write my first course.
Letβs do it
alright, thanks for the suggestion
One of the best posts Iβve ever seen encapsulating this topic. Great job! Subbed
Thx and welcome on board :)
Prefer blogging though haven't looked at WordPress in years, likely will and thanks for the reminder.
How do you get around the duplicate content issue?
Substackβs SEO sucks anyway.
Medium allow canonical URLS. they point to my blog.
Done.
The simplicity in the strategy is elegant. It's unfortunate that so many are unwilling to trust in the process and put the time into implementing it.
hard to develop trust when youβre not sure about wether the process works or not.
And it's hard to see if the process works if you don't have trust and patience.
People usually need to see immediate growth to stay dedicated to something. You see this all the time with writing, investing, personal fitness, anything really. Plant seeds that eventually sprout while youβre sleeping one day.
I agree, and it's why many very see the fruit that could have flourished.
Trust the process is so key
most people donβt have the confidence (itβs hard to trust the process when youβve never done it.)
Medium is still my main platform and the earnings there are peanuts as you say Matt.
A writer keep churning content there and you easily feel worn out.
I've been postponing the idea of writing more here on Substack than on Medium but I haven't taken that step yet.
I won't stop writing on Medium since it will be a way to direct traffic to the newsletter here on Substack.

It works Wes and that's what matters. I could stick with X or LinkedIn only. Happens I choose Medium in the beginning.
Stick to what works :)
why donβt simply repurpose your content here?
You're right. Recently I have same discussion with other writer. I can repurpose some of the well performed content on Medium here on Substack.
Whatβs your strategy for Medium exactly? @mario
It's where I build a following Wes. And since I created my first newsletter here on Substack it's a good place to funnel readers to my newsletter.
The earnings are just to invest in tools or improve skills pretty much.
I have the same question too..And I also want to ask you about your opinion re writing on Blogspot Blogger ?
these platforms are dead. would prefer Medium

Keep it simple
Same all across the board
IS not bad for SEO?
true
Juan you are too!
