I'm wondering about the "Notes" algorithm. I only see my notes when they're first published. Then never again....while I see other writers notes reappear again and again.
Well, that’s what I needed to read! I was just in debate with myself if I should even bother with notes because the last 5 or so have seen a big amount: 0! But I do know it takes time. The frustration I feel is I went to Substack for a little more depth in conversation and to honestly connect with other like minded folks in writing and podcasting. And the Substack notes I see recently are typical “dear Substack…” or randomness with pictures and has no real relevance, YET has 100+ likes and comments. I know there are some formulas I could follow, but I’m still new to Substack and am new to podcasting, so I’m trying not to overwhelm myself with yet another platform to post in.
Good reminder, Matt. I agree with you totally saying "I never post photos because I'm an introvert and hate taking selfies."
Most photos with me don't come out well. My hubbie's quite photogenic, and I use him instead. Wouldn't I love to post me enjoying a walk amidst palm trees - But I'll never do it! I know that.
How much time do you dedicate daily to Substack? Noted and Posts. What about marketing, generating lead magnets etc?
Substack? Roughly 30-45 minutes.
Then, I write my daily emails.
Then, I launch new offers each month. Some of them also become lead magnets.

Ok so here is my question..
If i give AI my niche and ask IT to write notes for me, would it be ethical??
if it's your idea and style, why wouldn't it be?
